Costume: Dark black clothes have connotations of mystery ,concealment, rebellion and action. The long black cape that the character at the bottom with the white background is wearing creates a dramatic effect that has connotations of isolation and a journey through loneliness 

Lighting:  highlights the weather (Rain) and intense emotional/action filled tone

Actors: Serious facial expressions, intense concentration and focus on potential opponents, body language in wide stances, for fighting and shooting

Make-up: Hair on centre character seems to be more polished than others symbolising his status as the leader of the group, or it seems more polished because its short. The woman on his right's hair is emphasised by the lighting also makes it seem like the frame has been stopped when she was mid way through a fight.

Props: There are a lot of guns and a katana this is iconography used to communicate the genre of the movie to the audience.

Setting: A rainy location, the use of pathetic fallacy in order to convey the deep emotions or high stakes and risks taken in the movie. Worms eye view point

Costume: Heavily pirate themed costumed, set in a different time period. Character on the left's bandana colour being red has different connotations and may imply that he is a more dangerous character, the main character or more eccentric than the other presented on the poster that have more neutral colours. The woman on the right has what looks like jewels and expensive looking clothes which indicate her status.

Lighting: seems even on all of the characters

Actors: Serious faced except for the character on the left who seems slightly amused, upturned lips and  slight squinted eyes suggest this

Make-up- Woman on the right has her makeup done well which adds to the point about her high status. Character on the left has black make-up around her eyes which makes his eyes stand out more.

Props: The gun suggest some kind of violence but the stereotypical iconography that would take place (Gun= violence and action) is diminished by the props of the tentacle and boats in the background below the characters which maybe indicate that this is a hybrid genre fantasy and action.

Setting: The setting is tropical which is implied through the palm trees to the left. The sea is a major factor in this movie 

Costume: Bright colours connotate to happier themes like romance or a comedy

Lighting: Outdoors,  natural lighting

Make-up: Warm toned makeup suggests warmness of the movie

Props: confetti- celebration, happiness, triumph after some kind of struggle.

Setting: City, in a different country with a warmer climate represented by trees and the clothing worn.
